Anthony Wigglesworth’s practice explores the intersection of abstract painting and musical form. 2023 Harmonic Fields — Sol Art Gallery, Dublin, Ireland
A series of twelve large-scale oil paintings investigating the structural parallels between acoustic theory and visual form. The body of work employs specific musical frameworks, rhythm, cadence, and harmonic intervals, to transform the canvas into a dynamic resonator, creating an immersive sensory experience rooted in compositional balance.

2018 | On the Surface of It — Sol Art Gallery, Dublin, Ireland
An inquiry into the mechanics of light and the propagation of wave forms. Utilizing layered textures and innovative material manipulation, this series explores the threshold between the absorptive and the reflective. The works move beyond landscape, instead focusing on the atmospheric effects and structural logic of light as it interacts with varying densities of pigment and medium.

2014 What Lies Beneath — The Helix, Dublin, Ireland
A focused exhibition of ink drawings that explored repetition, pattern and the quiet intensity of sustained looking, revealing forms that sit between the organic and the imagined.

Presented a series of independent ink-based exhibitions, Blacklight (2008), Achromatic Elements (2009), Absent Light (2010), In the Web of the City (2013) in the historic Georgian mansion at Ormond Quay.

2022 Water | Ether — Etra Fine Art, Miami, USA
Group exhibition exploring the classical elements of water and ether through contemporary painting and mixed media, featuring works by Anthony Wigglesworth. The exhibition also included selected historical pieces by M.C. Escher, creating a subtle dialogue between contemporary abstraction and mathematically inspired, surreal imagery.

2014 Synthesis III – Motion — Irish Film Institute, Dublin, Ireland
Audiovisual screening curated by Fractal Music Dublin featuring experimental pieces that explore visual and musical motion; Anthony Wigglesworth presented his work “Impressions de la Mer,” an animated interpretation of intricate ink drawing that resonates with the programme’s focus on movement and abstraction.
